When I first acquired my first (and only) digital SLR camera, I sought to take one good picture for every day of the week (of the month of the year). You always hear about those people who achieve the great goal of 365 photos - one for every day. In my opinion, that's a pretty big monumental feat. In addition, if you can make each picture a good work of photography - I mean, everyone's bound to have off days, that's even better.
I tried this. Despite my persistence, I think I only lasted about a shameful two months, and even then I had breaks in between. I certainly didn't have quality photos each one of those days. However in that short amount of time, the number of photos I liked accumulated over time. Maybe I got better, maybe not, but I grew to like my own "style."
I use one of three cameras to take the photos displayed in this collection: Kodak DX4530 Zoom, Kodak EasyShare C643 and Nikon DSLR D40 with 18-55mm lens. I realize these three cameras are drastically different in quality and features (and age), yet I suffice. I adore them all dearly.
Most of these photos in this collection are slightly touched up, but not by much. I am by no means the defined "photographer" nor do I know much about proper photographing etiquettes, but I like taking pictures. I'm still experimenting with the different options to change the effect of the photo using the actual camera settings... I don't think quite there yet. Nonetheless, I'm constantly exploring.
